Gilt City (if you're not familiar with it, it's like an upscale Groupon) is going to sell tickets starting this Monday, March 28th.

I get their weekly emails and this was in the bottom of it:

They didn't give any details but I imagine that they might be sold as part of hotel or travel package. Judging by the types of deals this website has offered in the past, the tickets will NOT be over face-value

I e-mailed the support team for details, I'll post their response here.

1,125 dollars a ticket?

No, that price includes limo service to and from the fest each day.

It's $975 for a VIP pass, which includes entry to the Music loves Fashion House of Hype party (who gives a shit)

Either way, the cheapest VIP ticket on Stubhub is $938. There's 3 at that price then they jump to $1,180.

Yeah sorry this Coachella partnership was a Fail. I can't believe I signed up for this shit only to be offered a chance to buy a $1,125 ticket. I thought this shit was gonna be a Raffle. SHUT IT DOWN!

Definitely not a "bargain", but Gilt.com is a luxury item website.

Again, the tickets will be VIP, they will be BELOW $1,000 if you opt out of the limo services, and that price beats almost all the VIP tickets on StubHub.

Looks like Gilt City will be eating some tickets along with the rest of the scalpers.

Really? Ticket prices are hardly dipping on 3rd party sites. I don't see them having issues yet.

It also gets you into some "exclusive" party at Coachella too. I hope that extra money isn't for a shuttle pass. I think I read it's a limo but I could be wrong.

"•Luxury shuttle service provided by Limos.com"

probably a party bus of some sort, only mention of an actual limo is the sponsors name.

and isn't coachella the party? why would anyone go anywhere else?

QFT. I still don't understand why people go to all these sponsor parties. I mean I guess I understand it, you're not that big of a fan of live music, but still. It's retarded.

Honestly for everything you get it's not a bad deal at all considering what scalper sites are asking for VIP.
