i figure I am going to buy the 4 day pass and bring about $1000 bucks for whatever the fuck else i might need. that includes, camping/food/drinks/random merch. I understand that. Are there any tips and tricks from veteran attendee's? a better place to set up camp, anything extra to bring other than necessities? any delays i should expect? anything in the rules they really get ya for? do they search your stuff? things that are not allowed? etc etc anything an out of towner should know?

I am taking $400 to spend and thats plenty of $$ even if you splurge on merch and stuff. Unless you plan on drinking a lot of alcohol you wont need that much cash. But theres always "just inc ase" money so by all means.

you will want to buy camping tickets through ticketmaser for camping. you wont need even close to $1000 even if you do buy a bunch of merch. figure $45 a day max for food. I spent more like $25 or $30 a day.

I posted a few tips on another message, but off of my head....

-Freeze all the water/tea/sports drink you are bringing. You will maybe only need 1 bag of ice on Sat.
-Baby wipes to freshen up
-SUNSCREEN!!! I saw so many burnt people on Sunday Evening.
-Go to the casino that southeast (5miles maybe?) and eat breakfast. Streak, eggs, and potatoes for $3.99. Its a large serving, fresh and hot, and quick service.
-air matress with battery powered pump
-make sure you have a hammer/mallet for tent stakes
-tent fan that battery powered

The link to the casino is here http://www.augustinecasino.com/directions.html

It's just south on Monroe/Jefferson/jackson/VanBuren, and then turn left/east on Avenue 54. Maybe 3 miles from the Polo Field, and the its the Cafe 54 inside the Augustine Casino.
