Saturday has a wonderful amount of Americana Folk music on the bill (Mumford and Sons, Trampled By Turtles, Felice Brothers, Swell Season, Tallest Man On Earth) - but leading the pack is Phosphorescent who easily made one of the best and most over looked albums of 2010 entitled "Here's To Taking It Easy" - please take the time and check it out. It's perfect music for the California sun.

Everything you said up there is exactly why I'm stoked for Saturday.

Electronic music comes and goes...but Americana music always has a home. It's pure sounding - it's real. Phosphorescent 2011!!

And I love how you hear the name and just automatically assume it's gonna be hip hop.

This guy is great. Saw him in a room with about 15 other people. Seeing him on a bigger stage should be pretty sweet.

please dont let any of those bands conflict on saturday either.

I just got Phosphorescent booked for May 2nd in Durango Colorado at The Abbey Theatre. If anyone is around the area, they should stop by and see Phosphorescent in an extremely intimate setting.

Music is LOVE.

He should be good. Hopefully there aren't any conflicts. I'm kinda hoping for an early day or pre-sunset show for him. His lyrics remind me a lot of Joni Mitchell's which isn't a bad thing.

when you listen to Phosphorescent it sounds like he wouldn't have any other choice but to make the music he's making. It's like his soul is singing. It's so fuckin' beautiful I could listen to it forever and ever and never get sick of it. I encourage people to see this show - if your into timeless music.
