People should actually buy this album too. The album art is awesome.

This album is really growing on me.

Is it just me or all the song titles for this a bit pretentious? Really, what logical meaning do some of these have? Decemberisits get tagged with the stink of 'hyper-literate prog rock' but it seems as Of Montreal are trying to take the cake by force....how that even matches up I don't know...the song titles are just a bit too over the top for me though

first listen...I'm liking it. I think I shall check them out at whichever stage or tent they play at.

They have always done this.

Coachella will be jerks if they don't add of Montreal on any of their dates this year.

why did I think they were on it already?

Because you are gay and wished for some decent bands this year?

EDIT - Hi tyler.

I'm sure about of Montreal coming back to California after thier Hissing Fauna tour and be added later. I'm just not sure why Goldenvoice won't confirm this.

Coachella should really stop picking favorites of past years and re-adding them again and again. Example: RHCP, Paul Van Dyke, LCD Soundsystem.
They had their share, let's move on!

This would Of Montreal's first Coachella performance if they do get add on.

My massive BB holiday shopping spree paid off, they finally sent me my $35 rewards. ;), so I bought this wonderful album (along with Wincing The Night Away and The Rapture 2006 cd) 2 days ago.

It's getting rave reviews from some reputable music critics (except for the so-so review by Under The Radar) with overall metascore of very good 82 so far:

Pitchfork 8.7/10
An astonishingly good late-period record from Of Montreal that's as uncomfortably savage in its depiction of breakup psychology as it is relentlessly catchy.

All Music Guide 4/5
It's a challenging yet ultimately rewarding album -- and one that definitely requires some thoughtful attention on the part of the listener.

cokemachineglow 83% / 82% combined
Hissing Fauna might be Barnes’ finest work yet, an opus built entirely of sugar.

also 9/10 to me! 2 2007 fantastic albums so far ...

looking forward and wondering about:
Au Revoir Simone 'The Bird of Music'
Eluvium 'Copia'
Menomena 'Friend and Foe'
Explosions in the Sky 'All of a Sudden I Miss Everyone'
Air 'Pocket Symphony'
Jesu 'Conqueror'

I'll definitely buy the actual vinyl and cd copies of The Arcade Fire's Neon Bible.

so no one but me and Tyler here remembers; Of Montreal were on the original line-up but got taken off. Maybe that's why there's not been a peep about it.

I remember.

That's what I thought. Man, put them back please.

they are, they just can't officially announce it until after their california dates. which should be soon. i'm sure goldenvoice will announce it as soon as they have some other artists to announce as well.
