The best Coachella 2010 experience for me didn't happen at the polo fields at all. It happened at LAX.

I was charging up my iphone at one of those power stations in the American terminal at LAX when a group of men dressed as sailors came walking toward me (Yes still wearing the outfits from the night before).

It was Mick, Paul and some others (back up singers and roadies) I reached into my carry-on and pulled out my ticket stub and booklet and got the 2 to sign them for me. I always carry a sharpie, always.

Both were extremely nice, esp. Mick.

Some guy came up to them and said "we have to go this way" and they were off. (to catch a terminal shuttle) I snapped a poor iphone pic as they walked off, but I uploaded the signed goods so you guys could see.

This was a VERY big deal for me.

Damn you are sooooooo fuckin lucky!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Was the conversation a quick hello goodbye or did you chat for a second?
Did they make any comments about the gig?
I for one loved the set. I don't know why everybody is hating because of the lack of a spectacle. Its not like The Cure put on a big spectacle the year before closing out the weekend.

Brief conversation.

Told them I loved the set, they said thanks, and Mick said that it was fun show to do, and he told me about them being on Colbert the coming Thursday. He asked how the show sounded? I said great. That was about it. Another guy from London (also waiting on his flight to board) saw them and I took his picture with them, then their manager told them to come with him to catch the shuttle.

It was a little after noon on Monday. I boarded my flight about 12:45.

Made my 4 hour flight back to Ohio much easier to bare.

That's an awesome finale to the weekend. You're one fortunate motherfucker. My flight was out of 41a around the same time so I saw them walking through the terminal but didn't say anything. Honestly I'm kicking myself over a lost opportunity now, even just to have thanked them for putting on such a great show. At least I didn't get stuck next to LMFAO on the flight back.

holy fucking fuck, dude. and on my flight back I got stuck next to fucking lmfao. talk about unfair.
I hope those tourette's-induced retards didn't start randomly screaming SHOTS! all the way back on the plane.
