Just a heads up. I've caught the last 20 minutes. Only 15 minutes left in their set, but for those with VH1C, check it out.

Is it me..or...

Wow, they really aren't that good. I gave them 7 songs of chances and I can't find any part of their set redeemable.

They don't suck, per se, but jigga huh?

Yes, it's you...

But hey, to each his own. One less person at the sing-along.

They were already on my no list, but I thought I'd give them another chance.

Hey now, hey now.....:emo

Yeah, nothing about their set was very exciting to me either. I almost made this thread though.

I gave them a long listen and really don't like them.

I don't know I tried.

Again, to each his own. I'd say the younger you are, the less likely you are (in general) to like them. Or perhaps it's simply an exposure issue. If you weren't exposed to them frequently, then I can imagine they would be seen as being bland to some.

Yeah, just to hear "World Where You Live" and "Weather with you"... I mean, those songs are prominently featured on the soundtrack of my life. I hadn;t even thought about CH for a couple years until I looked at that lineup, saw them, re-listened and was caught up in the memories. I used to blare World Where You Live (a live version w/ Ed Vedder) and sing until I was hoarse.

What songs did they do on that special?

02-24-2007, 05:22 PM
I only caught the last 20 minutes, but they played "Seven Worlds collide", "Weather With You" and closed with "Dream its Over"...

Dreading the don't dream it's over moment, but it will end quicker than it begins...

hey im 36 and from the 80's and i could never get into crowded house very much. world where u live, something so strong and dont dream is the only 3 i can get into. i tivo the vh1 concert. not too exciting for me although i will say dont dream is in my top 20 80's songs. i still dig that song very much. i might check them out just for nostalgia

I heard "Don't Dream It's Over" at Golden Corral the other day.

How'd they sound?

02-25-2007, 04:22 PM
Sounded good to me. It was in front of a huge Sydney crowd. "Weather With You" was the highlight of the 20 minutes I saw.

Crowded House is at the Glasshouse in Pomona on Friday night, April 27 (the night after the Jesus and Mary Chain will be at the Glasshouse). I have no idea if the Crowded House show is sold out or not yet.
