If things continue as they are going, I'm sure you're going to hear about Dan Mangan sooner or later. I doubt many had heard of him less than a year ago, and now I'm betting he'll be up for a Juno nomination or two.

We saw him for a second time at a local pub last week, and I felt the need to share.

Dan's most popular song is probably Robots. A great singalong song and the crowd always gets into it. This video is from the show we were at in Calgary last week. If it's not your thing, try scooting to the end to catch the singalong.

Lately he's been opening his set with a song called Road Regrets. This is the "official" video for it. Watch it for a little while and you'll be pulling for that little car.

Dan keeps up a good presence on Facebook and is pretty interactive with his fans. I'm not sure how long he'll be able to keep this up as his fan base grows, but right now it is kinda cool. He appears to be genuinely surprised and thrilled with the response he's getting. In last week's show, for his last song he jumped into the crowd and performed from a table in the middle of everyone.

Next week he performs for the athletes at the athlete's village. If you can't make that show, keep an eye out for him coming to your part of the world.
