they got added because they'll be performing with the gorillaz they are featured quite a bit on the new album.

Yeah, Rebirth is a really good recommend too if you dig this stuff.

In terms of CDs, Hypnotic's really only got one you can buy normally, a self-titled one that came out in 09. It's quite solid overall. 'Alyo' 'War' 'Ballicki Bone' , lots of good tracks. Most of the tracks from their prior vinyl or CD-R releases went onto the '09 CD in one form or another.

eMusic's also got a live disc from 08 if you decide you really *really* dig it.

cool, that makes it easy. and that's good news for the gorillaz new album then. even more of a reason to hit up their set!

this is pretty goood. illprobably will go to this set!

I saw them open for blur last summer. I thought they were ok, but nothing to shout about. they seemed like a brass ensemble that wished they were a hip-hop group.

How was the crowd reaction though? Playing in front of an audience expecting to see Blur, I can see how the reaction might be a bit tepid and affect the performance (or one's perception of the performance). When I saw them at Asagiri Jam (a Japanese festival) last year though, everyone was totally into it, and it was amazing.

I didn't even notice; I hope they add Lou Reed or Bobby Womack...

I remember seeing these guys play in the NYC subway beneath Union Square. They were one of those busker acts that make you stop for a few songs, buy a CD, miss your train, and make you late for work. Cool guys. I'm glad to witness their success.
