My entire trip to Bumbershoot last year (save for the money I spent while I was there) totaled under $200. I'll be returning if the lineup is decent and it doesn't coincide with other plans. Probably.

If I go back this year, I'm going to need someone to follow me around and make sure I don't collect every bit of swag that booths hand out. Last year I was like, "Balsa wood rulers with the transit company logo on them? Hot damn. I'll take twelve. What? What's that? A scorpion with your company logo on it? Excellent. Oh, cool. A novelty giant foam hand! This is perfect for cheering on my scorpion!"

I've been twice,I really enjoy it. Last year I did the VIP thing but I don't think I'll do it again.I love the chillout rooms but really your paying for the catering,
I missed buying food at the fantastic food booths.
The venue isn't as good but you can buy early bird tix for $60.00 for the 3 days, they are $80 now I think.

I don't think they increase... I would only be worried about the Sonic Youth day selling out... even then it probably won't sell out until the week of (I think it did the day of last year, and that was the first time it ever sold out).

I'm gonna buy mine as a precaution if the bank account allows... but I wouldn't stress about it (you'll be able to get them the day of in some capacity I'm sure).

That's the "Insider Deal" price for single day. Eventually they go up to $50.

If you registered on the website they offered an early bird "Entertainment Stimulus Package" $60 for 3-day passes at the very beginning of the year, but those are gone. That was such a good deal.

Nope, and I don't think that one will be forthcoming either. Here's why: Yesterday, as a test of how much info on the form was required, I sent in a completely empty form and it responded with the same "Thank you for your RSVP" message you got when you filled in the entire form.

I'm kind of nervous too, I prolly won't be able to get from the Seattle Center to Neumos until 1130. Hopefully they will still be letting people in then.

It's probably first-come first-serve, but since the majority of the people going are probably coming from Bumbershoot it most likely won't be a big deal. I guess it mostly depends on how many freeloaders such as myself decide to go.

I doubt I'd get there before 11 or 11:30 either, especially if it turns out that we'll get rained on all day at Bshoot. I'm sorry to hear it is supposed to rain. I always had great luck of bringing great weather to the places I travel, but I got rained on all day at Bonnaroo AND Lollapalooza, so my luck streak seems to have been broken.

Well shiver me timbers, I just received an email confirmation of my Afterparty RSVP :)

However, the email does say "Early arrival is strongly recommended as admittance is first come first serve and not guaranteed." booooo

Yea, I got the same email. My plan is to show up after the headliner at Bshoot (though I may leave a little early), if Nemo's is a no-go, I'm just going to find someplace to drink, as it's been a very VERY trying week... :)

Heidi, let me know if you get in or not. I'll be there but I've seen Holy Fuck many times so if you don't get in I'd be down to steer you to my favorite bar on the hill.

well, so far this bshoot weekend is a bust, thanks to unreasonable customers. I have angst about sitting on calls when I should be seeing de la right now. I just had a tantrum while on mute about going on vacation and paying to sit in a hotel and deal with work, which is exactly what happened with part of Lolla, too, and makes me realize I need a different line of work. ;)

Corinna, I will definitely ring you when I find out what the situation is like tomorrow night. Hopefully they will still be letting people in, but if not, I've also seen Holy Fuck tomorrow, so I'm up for going elsewhere to drink.

Anyone that was at Gang Gang Dance (very small crowd) know the last song they played? The set as a whole wasn't great but I did get down to that song

They've been playing a lot of new material at shows lately. They ended the show at The Troubadour with a new song.
