TONS of people seem to love these guys...

a little too much Bruce Springsteen meets Against Me! for my taste. Think I'll pass on them on Sunday.

YES!

At least as old as "reinventing axl rose"

I was lucky enough to be at the troubadour for their "As The Eternal Cowboy..." show and they played for like 90 minutes and blew the fucking place apart - SO GOOD

Seen them several times since too, including Tom Gabel's solo stuff duing the the Revival Tour

did you see the youtube videos of tom gabel playing with am! orig, drummer in new york? they played the best am! songs! no new wave. if you havent you should really look it up. that show was legendary. it was at the knitting factory....
the best show i ever went to was an acoustic instore at burbank for the new wave release. right when the show ended, the crowd started to sing tsr. it was beautiful.
i saw tom gabel at the glass house, and really wasnt impressed

FYI - Tonight's Gaslight Anthem show in Minneapolis is cancelled/postponed due to a "medical emergency." No other info.

On the bright side their opening acts are still playing for a $10 cover - The Heartless Bastards and Good Ol War. It's going be an interesting door - was sold out but now a cover w/tickets honored for future show. I think THB will still draw a big crowd.
