Can anyone tell me some of the smaller American bands on the Coachella list that would be worth seeing? Australia doesnt get alot of your underground stuff, we mainly get alot of Britney Spears and T-Pain haha its pathetic !!

Just browse around the lineup page on the main site. There's a video of or a link for every artist at the festival.

Just figure out what you like ;-)

I will be watching No Age, Vivian Girls, A Place to Bury Strangers and the Gaslight Anthem. All are fairly new acts, all are quite good.

Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti should be... interesting. People Under the Stairs seem like they'd be awesome, too.

No Age is getting a lot of press, but I'm much more into Gang Gang Dance

I'm with you there, not a big fan of what I call pitchfork's latest stream of "No-Fi" artists...Vivian Girls, No Age, Abe Vigoda...

From a recorded music standpoint, there comes a point where being politically opposed to overproduction in music becomes a liability rather than a strength, and all of these bands cross that line from being gritty to underproduced to the point of unlistenability.

Though I have to say will probably check out No Age if no conflicts to see how much clearer they sound live...it's clear there are good songs in all these artists catalogs lost amid the rotten production.

I can't stop listening to the new Band of Horses, Fleet Foxes and Black Keys cds. Looking forward to all three of them.
