It is good, but it's not Paul Weller. It's "Handbags and Gladrags" which (while not originally done by him) was made famous by Rod Stewart in 1970 (when Paul Weller was 12). The version on The Office is done by the band Waysted. As far as I know, Weller has never even covered the song.

Heh. Only sleuthing I had to do was to find out who actually did the cover for the Office (I've loved the Rod Stewart version for years). But I knew damn well it wasn't Paul Weller.

*best band ever, fatbob does no wrong other than wild mood swings*

Wild Mood Swings is not that bad, the singles were all pretty awesome, especially "Mint Car", and "This is a Lie" is a great album track.

I'd argue for Andy You're A Star myself, but a fine choice nonetheless.

I would, if pressed, defend this opinion with a broken bottle.

You are fucking stupid. It's either "Maps" or "Y Control", "Gold Lion" is no where near their best.

"Black Tongue"

my personal YYYs favorite is "No No No" for the psychadelic outro.
can't wait for "It's Blitz!" though.

Junior Boys -- "Under The Sun"
No Age -- "Everybody's Down"
Mastodon -- "Sleeping Giant"
TV On The Radio -- "Blind"
Hercules & Love Affair -- "Hercules Theme"
Liars -- "What Would They Know"
My Bloody Valentine -- "Feed Me With Your Kiss" (obviously this is up for debate, but if you haven't heard it -- hear it)

Throbbing Gristle-Something Came Over Me

Where is this song located? The TG albums I looked over didn't have this, I'm guessing it's on their live albums.

Clipse -- "Hello New World"
Throbbing Gristle -- "Hot On The Heels Of Love"
Thievery Corporation -- "Warning Shots"
The Bug -- "Skeng"
A Place To Bury Strangers -- "Breathe"
Crystal Castles -- "Vanished"
N.A.S.A. -- entire album, comes out Tuesday "The Spirit of Apollo"

Actually, I believe Paul McCartney wrote part of Day in the Life - the whole "woke up, got out of bed" part.

John Lennon wrote the best parts though.

'Something Came Over Me' was a studio track on the otherwise live 'Mission of Dead Souls' album.

'Hot on the Heels of Love' is great too. Deerhoof's cover of 'Blood on the Floor' is also quite enjoyable.
