Oh man.....

02-04-2009, 06:56 PM
I don't think layaway is an option.

HA, I had VIP once in 2006. It was nice, but not worth to pay for.

02-04-2009, 07:02 PM
ya but you gotta pay for it

guess it's vodka in the water bottle for me again

02-04-2009, 07:13 PM
aaaah. thanks. i'd been waiting for this to show up.

I wish I could afford this. All those comfy couches are amazing. And the bathrooms!

02-04-2009, 07:22 PM
Totally agree if they had an open bar it would be totally wort it

Does this include some sort of special VIP seating for the artists? I had VIP one year and the only perk I remember is hard alcohol. They make it sound like the additional food and beverage is big deal but from what I remember the lines were just as big as the regular non-VIP ones.

I've had VIP tix for Coachella before and I thought it sucked. Total waste of money.

real vips get sidestage, like juststeve :)

everyone else who pays for vip (ie me, gps, a few thousand others) just gets alcohol access, cleaner bathrooms, and the ability to people watch...

Thanks for this information GPS. It seems impossible to get VIP info through any other channels. I'm still wondering why that is...

VIP is only worth it if it is free. also terribly named as there are no important people in the VPI area. it's a UIP area.

why the heck do you need an amex gold card?

02-05-2009, 09:43 AM
ill have vip wristbands for cheaper. just message me.

Truth. I had VIP wristbands like everyone else that were on the Coachella Express. However, it's definitely not worth $300 more dollars for

somebody gave me and my buddy wristbands last year after we helped drag them out of the pyschotic mob cramming into the side of the Sahara for M.I.A.

it was certainly really awesome back there....but NOT for an extra $100/day

I only really made use of it for the bathrooms. I didn't see any other reason to be there.

i got free VIP last year for Stagecoach... it gave me side of stage in the tents & near main... any chance that is the case this year?

that is not vip. that is "side stage". vip only gets you in vip. period.

I had VIP last year and it was nice to have for free, but I agree, not worth an extra $300. It seemed to be full of 13 year-old Jewish girls whose dads were Hollywood producers, and the odd celebrity, but nobody too exciting. I will miss the relatively clean toilets, though.

02-10-2009, 01:50 PM
Uh, yeah. VIP at a price is oxymoronic. VIP at $650/head is just moronic.

02-10-2009, 06:23 PM
People get free cocaine in the VIP tent.

Wow, definitely should have read this thread before buying my VIP pass... Looks like safari tents and artist pass are the only ones that would be worth it
