I didn't so I'm just wondering.

02-12-2007, 08:22 AM
I tried to smuggle booze and drugs into the Grammy's.

02-12-2007, 08:22 AM

I didn't so I'm just wondering.

Just the Police opening the show, which I thought it was pretty awesome and got some goosebumps - I really wish they would be added. But, we all know that's not going to happen.

they should have had flea play jazz trumpet with ornette coleman and let rhcp do a funky james brown cover.
i really expected dixie chicks to win as much as they did.
i was pulling for gnarls all the way though.
but hey dylan and wolfmother got awards, so there were some bright moments.

Ornette Coleman is not dead sorry. Charlie Haden is still alive to.

02-12-2007, 10:51 AM
then who was the fellow that they said was ornette coleman at the show?

02-12-2007, 10:53 AM
I made a mistake. I thought he was dead. I fixed it. I did not watch the grammy's.

02-12-2007, 10:56 AM
tis cool.
the grammys could have been worse, so...kudos?

02-12-2007, 10:57 AM
I need to see Ornette Coleman.

All I know is the award for worst performance at the grammys goes to Chris Brown. That guy was fucking horrible, I have never heard of him before that and wow that's the worst performance i've seen since that britney, nsync, aerosmith, nelly superbowl halftime show.

02-12-2007, 12:09 PM
yeah, even my sister, who is a big modern r&b fan, had to admit she didn't like his performance.

02-12-2007, 12:11 PM
I thought that guy that came out and danced when they were paying tribute to James Brown was cool...other than that The Dixie Chicks blow hard...really hard!

02-12-2007, 12:15 PM
I had to work them. I caught the second half of the show on the feed. For a mainstream industry outing I thought it was pretty spiffy.

02-12-2007, 12:24 PM
I didn't watch, but good thing Bill Simmons did:

Stevie Wonder takes two minutes to introduce Corinne Bailey Rae, John Legend and John Mayer as the teleprompter guy quickly runs outside and has a smoke.

His running diary is hilarious. I DVR-ed it so that I can watch The Police play and then delete it before Dixie Chicks and Fergie take over my TV.

They made me realize how much of a loss the world suffered with James Brown's death
