I just randomly thought they might be a late addition for 2 reasons:

1. No reunions announced so far.
2. MSTRKRFT's going to be there, that's 1/2 of DFA1979 already.

Crazy dream or possibility here?

Before some smug douche posts a link, yes, I just realized someone made a similar thread like 2 months ago. I'm sorry.

sebastian grangier (sp!) was in town just before christmas, and a radio dj asked if dfa1979 would ever come back together and he kinda laughed and awkwardly said something along the lines that their relationship was less than repairable, and didn't expect ever for there to be anything from dfa1979 ever again

too bad, one of the best albums in canadian music history

Frankly Im happy with MSTRKRFT and I like him way better than death from above.

I think he made a good choice by becoming a dj. Death from above wasn't going to go anywhere else.

I wouldn't count on it.

A better reunion will probably happen

i dunno man. i loved death from above so much. and i love mstrkrft as well. but there is only so much dance i can take before i come back to the originals. plus i really liked mstrkrft when they remixed lesser known bands. their sound was killer and different. now it seems some of the new songs sounds alike.

I've never really been a big fan of either. I just remember Neon Knights at coachella 07 really caught my attention. So I have some amount of respect for the guy.

Plus I was into death from above for about two weeks, then I lost interest.

But I give them credit for what they do.

DFA would obviously draw a bigger crowd because they are more mainstream but as much I don't like electronic music, I remember MSTRKRFT being incredible in '07 so I'm kind of looking forward to them

yeah, its the same. i walked out of the tent in 07 drenched with sweat. these shows work best if you only go to a few of them. then you're not hearing the same shit at every show. and you can be like oh fuck this is amazing.

Jesse keeler said on the MSTRKRFT boards, that they dont speak to each other

I know... one can dream, though.

Noise rock lives on through the awful racket they blared out of their elephant trunks.
