I had a hookup for a VIP pass last year. Wondering if VIP passes are available for purchase by the general public (like Bonnaroo)? I don't see them being offered anywhere. Not sure I'll get hooked this year and I would buy one if available.

Yes I agree with Vinyl also. Had VIP last year for a day, its nice I guess and was cool to experience but I wouldnt be bending over backwards to have it. It just added to the s**tload of wristbands I had on the entire weekend..

The best thing about V.I.P is finding a main stage wrist band that some dumb drunk might drop. I found one in the artist area last year. I would not doubt you could find one in V.I.P.. I found a working wrist band in the middle of the polo field in 03. I already had an artist pass so I gave it to one of my friends.

Ground scores are where its at. I hardly ever look up when i'm walking around the polo fields.

the ability to sit far away from the stages with a wristband on, but you can have access to a full bar. oooooooooh.

Really thats about it.

And shade! And I thought I heard/saw that there were a few couches. Maybe I'm thinking of my house.

There's just as much shade out on the grounds, plus I would never sit on those skanky couches they have in there, its too hot for those couches anyways, so sweaty seating is yucky.

V.I.P. is way packed. It has a bar with hard booze but the lines are hella long. If you can get it for free great. You might spot an artist or 2 walking throught there to get to the artist area or some d list celbs but thats about it. In 2001 they had free food like cheese and crackers but it ended up melting in the sun.

They had video games in 01 also.

yup people played them. they used to have a truck on the polo fields with video games in it. A playstation truck.

They have video games in the campground also.

Of course the attendance in 01 was less than half expected this year.

the couches are very comfortable. my first year, in 04, i didn't want to wait at my campsite til the bands i liked went on, so i just went in and sat on the couches with the mister fans blowing, listening to the sectior quartet open the day. it was perfect. and there were like 10 people in vip at that time. i had a whole couch to myself. i almost fell asleep.

that sounds like so much fun..

Some people just stay in VIP all day and don't watch any bands.

02-05-2007, 01:28 AM
i guess some people just go to network. or be seen.

probably two of the lamest reasons to go, thats right.

most people in VIP are indeed, lame, and not interested in anyone other than maybe a headliner.
