Should be a goddamn given. After seeing Alison struggle with the audio problems she was having, and after hearing the SHITE mix they had going for the band in general (bass player too loud, then cut, keyboards too loud, too soft etc etc, it was a mess) I think they are owed another show for '09. Thank CHRIST Alison was touched by the crowd's reaction, I was worried she'd just up and leave and never come back.

i've seen her 3 times and she's never not had audio problems. maybe she's just beyond a perfectionist. i think it's funny when she yells at her sound peeps. she actually flipped them off the first time i saw her at the Fonda for the BC tour.

I seriously doubt they will be back next year, although it would be nice... they will be done with the tour for the new album and probably working on the next one or on some other project...

alison is a diva, but she deserves to be!

The sound man pretty much ignored her. Maybe he's used to it. From where I was standing, I couldn't hear the violin very much, and he was playing his heart out. I could hear Goldfrapp just fine.

I LOVED Goldfrapp. She is Diva material. And her bare feet were kinda sexy, too.

I first saw Goldfrapp in '03 at the SF Fillmore and there again in '06 and they, especially Allison, looked and sounded great. I wasn't at Coachella, but I was at the SF Warfield Goldfrapp show on Saturday night and again they performed remarkably well, even while Allison was suffering from a cold, which she periodically treated with sips from her tea during the show. it is always a good time with Goldfrapp on the stage.

I didn't hear the violin either except for maybe a fleeting note or two.

I know GV likes to schedule bands that are "in" at the moment, or who have an album just released or about to be, but I really feel like Goldfrapp should be asked to come back and play the Outdoor Theatre, not the Mojave.

And yeah, when you're Alison Goldfrapp, you're entitled to some diva-ness.

i thought the mix was fine. i was in the center, probably 20 or 25 feet back, and it had plenty of volume to boot, as well.

def one of the hightlights for me this year.

Goldfrapp is the best.
