Instead of a new thread everytime a cd is to be discussed like 'the new weez' or the new portishead cd or whatnot, we could just bring them up in here.

The new Panic at the disco received 4 of 5 stars in spin magazine. Anyone give it a listen yet? I am prone to hating them, but i thought after their half decent performance on snl i may see if they don't suck as bad as i want them to. Thoughts?

How about not.

Just make a topic about the new Panic CD if you want to talk about it. Unless you're ashamed to make a topic about them...

My friend (with whom I have no overlapping taste in music) listens to the album constantly, and when she is away from her computer sings. I have to admit, while it's not my style at all, and Panic! constitutes the worst concert experience I have ever had (not entirely their fault-- some of the fans were getting on my nerves), that the songs are catchy and moderately clever. The instrumentation is pretty good too, in fact the band would probably be acceptable to me if it weren't for their lead singer and the general shallowness of their songs.

Everyone should listen to Jellyfish, rather than the lead single from the new Panic album.

Here we go. Man, Jellyfish ruled so hard. Too bad I was 5 when this was performed. Actually, I wasn't even 5 yet.

I had a roommate that dated the dude in that band.

I love Jellyfish. You were 5? God I feel old.

That is cool. Jellyfish are awesome. Or were awesome.
