View Full Version : Why the hate for The Fragile?

I know it's an old record but seeing how NIN just released a new one I've see people bashing The Fragile (not just on these boards). IMO it's one of the better NIN records

well I think The Fragile backlash comes from some of the tracks being very reminisicent of the "interludes" off that album. I happen to love The Fragile...a lot do not. meh, whatever...thats great they have their opinions, you have yours, I have mine. Its music, there is always something to bitch, fight, argue, disagree over. So be it.

It's his best album. From then on, he's truly been on a downward spiral...

Whatever album Hurt is on is his best album automatically. Which one is it?

Hurt > everything else NIN has ever done by at least 2 factors.

Hurt was on The Downward Spiral.

Well, then sorry, but it's not his best album. =)

TDS was and will be the best NIN record ever. I'm not too crazy about Year Zero, it's maybe been in my cd player a total of 5 times but With Teeth was average. It has a lot of "safe" NIN songs and it's not to hard on the ears.

Music is subjective. I would argue it is his best album. I love Year Zero as well. However, none of them really stand the test of time as well as The Fragile has.

The Fragile >>>>>>> Year Zero > With Teeth

There hasn't been a good NIN song since 2002.

Wait, did somebody really say they hated The Fragile? I find that hard to believe...

The Fragile has really grown on me over the years. The slower tracks are amazing. I can hardly listen to TDS anymore because some of those tracks are so hard even though I loved it back in the 90's.
