Smashing Pumpkins will also headline in 2007. Actually, they're going to be Coachella's resident headlining act from now until the end of time. Billy Corgan's shiny head has effectively hypnotized and taken control of everyone at Goldenvoice.

Pabst Blue Ribbon will replace Heineken.

Apple will sponsor an internet tent, so everyone can obsessively check whatever site replaces myspace instead of watching Blind Melon, and said site is credited for creating Web 5.0.

No big shockers for the 2008 line-up. The big surprise will be that GV adds a two-day Polka Festival the week after Stagecoach. My guess is that Bonnaroo will compete with this by adding a Jazz Lite festival the week after Bonnaroo featuring two days of solid Kenny G.

Anything has to be better than DJ Peretz. Note to DJ P, just stand near the console and put your arms in the air during the mixes. Let the real DJs do the work.

also, nirvana are reforming, their first gig being coachella 2008. sources vary as to whether cobain will front the group, or if dave grohl's close personal friend tom jones will take the position of lead singer. grohl has been quoted to have said that he is "psyched" for the reappearance of the oft-cited-as-influential grunge act.
