My friend just said they stopped giving out wristbands TEN PEOPLE IN FRONT OF HER. But that she's #136 and apparently there's 150 wristbands. Apparently the other 350 people are guestlist/celebs, etc. Looks like if you're not there already, it's pointless.

Man, this worked out awesomely. I didn't show up until 11:30 and was out of there with a wristband an hour later. I thought it was funny that they made us leave the neighborhood as soon as we got wristbanded.

I'm not sure that would even work for the scalped, they put the wristbans on personally and would probably question if one was cut or something.

Usually they don't care if people hang out all day, but I guess they don't want people to mob the band as they arrive.

Got my wristband and got there wayyyy to early (6:45-7am). Ugh, if I had shown up at 10, or even at noon I would have gotten in.

So while in line, all of us heard this crash and some car had crashed into a motorcycle at the intersection of Doheny and Santa Monica. I called 911 but the motorcycle guy didn't seem hurt, since he was walking around.

the wiltern is a much bigger venue. but maybe you're right.

I got in line for a show at 7 AM once. Waited in line for 12 whole hours with two other friends. Still got to get up and walk around as my friends held the spot though. It was actually kinda a fun experience. And a friend of mine once camped overnight for a show. But yeah, those were both for a GA venue, unlike the Wiltern... so that I don't get.

yeah, when there are thousands of people I can comprehend doing that... but in a 500 capacity venue? where 350 of the audience will be overprivaleged industry folk who are there to feel special? there's hardly a need to waste 8 hours...
