4.8 million is about the high end a band like the Rolling Stones makes by headlining a stadium with their super high ticket prices. 1.5 million is probably about what Prince made a night on his 2004 tour. My guess is he is getting paid somewhere in between.

Prince can sell a lot of tickets indeed but he can he sell a lot playing out in the middle of nowhere with only a few weeks notice? Good question.

the obvious answer is NO. there appears to have been less than 2000 tickets sold since the Prince announcement (maybe 3000)...

not what GV was expecting i think...

Number one with a bullet for the worst listing of bands playing together at a festival.

It is nausea inducing to look at.

Which is probably a good thing, who knows? Maybe they were using this a way to test the waters for future Coachellas.. see just how late they can wait to drop the 'real' headliner(s) on everybody and still maintain respectable sales. It looks like it wasn't very successful... But frankly, I couldn't care less when they announce anything, since I definitely plan on attending next year no matter what, it being the 10th year and all.
