I support this, although I really wish their songs were more meaningful lyrics-wise. The lyrics seem so vague and empty somehow, although I agree that Matt is one extremely talented individual and I would have a great time at their show.

So, I was Muse ignorant until I started reading threads on this board. At this point I would totally be happy with Muse headlining. I downloaded the catalog and some live shows over the weekend and can't stop listening. Amazing. Love it.

Muse, Outkast, Bowie might be my 3 headliners.

I believe Muse is in the camp of bands who believe that if your lyrics don't really mean anything, then they can be interpreted to mean whatever you want it to mean, making it more "accessible" to a wider audience.

Muse is ok id rather them be a subheadliner to Bowie or someone majestic. Hopefully they will be smart and not play but one or two songs pre Absolution. They were struggling so hard to find their voice that they sounded like Radiohead clones. Especially "Origin of Symmetry" but if they get a pipe organ and play "Meglomania" that might be cool as an older song. They have an intense light show and stage set up the 5 times I have seen them and put on a good show. It all depends on the material they choose to play and the energy of Matthew because the drummer Dominic is always fun and wearing cool costumes. So yes to Muse if they subheadline

Muse would be an amazing headliner, they rock out with their cocks out. I saw them live at Monterrey, mexico last year and even with the tiny setup they blew the doors off. I don't get how everyone missed the fact that they've headlined every major show over the last couple of years around the world, so I don't understand why there is still any doubt that they can, in fact, headline... and kick ass at it.

Although I think Muse is headliner worthy, I still don't think they have that cred in the U.S. yet.

I saw them with the Strokes the second time they (Muse) came through Northern California after Black Holes and Revelations came out. Muse played before the Strokes and blew them out of the water. The strokes on the other hand were a pathetic drunken mess. I'd prefer to listen to a strokes album over Muse anyday, but would take Muse over the Strokes live every time.

Anyway, I can't see them as a headliner in the U.S. even though they deserve it. I'd be happy with them there though.
