I'm not sure why Amusment Parks would want to distance themself from Arcade. No one would ever see the former's name and think of the latter. Wait.

I still don't know why they'd want to distance themself. If people accidentally go to your show or accidentally buy your album because they grabbed the wrong fire band that means more listeners.

It'd be a lame name to chose now but since they chose it when Arcade Fire were still playing tiny bars in Canada I see no issue on that front.

Amusements Parks On Fire sounds more like Alexisonfire, rather then Arcade Fire to me. However, I do hope Amusement Parks on Fire are better then Alexisonfire.

Well, by that rationale I guess Panic! at the Disco should change their name too. Since discos are kind of old fashioned and function to entertain young people and presumablely the Panic! is caused by a fire, which was set by the pyrotechnics at a Whitesnake concert. So maybe Whitesnake should change their name too.

I feel like Alexisonfire wouldn't have that whole multiple-words-but-no-spaces thing if it wasn't for the internet, and the style of writing/typing that has developed as a result of the internet.

It still pisses me off that nobody--not the hosts that introduce them, not even Ticketmaster it seems--call Arcade Fire "The Arcade Fire," but Win always does. Kinda seems like he's making a point every time he says it at the beginning of a show and nobody gives a fuck.

The funny thing is, I agree with them in that "'The' Arcade Fire" is somehow five times worse than being named just "Arcade Fire." The latter is almost kinda a really goodname, but including a "the" makes it really suck. But almost any band name that involves a "the" pisses me off--enough with all this "The (Plural)s" shit. It should have been brought to an end after The Beatles started making the best music ever.

That being said, The Zombies are fucking awesome if only because they were named that before Romero made zombification a hot idea.
