Have you read they are currating the ATP fest in December, AND PERFORMING!!!
Perhaps does this mean that maybe next year they will be gracing Coachella with their presence?

I'd like to see them, but kind of think putting out an album after 10 years of not having one is kind of unnecessary. They'll either do the same thing which will be boring, or do something new, which would be better, but if they sound too different and don't sound like Portishead anymore, people won't like that either.

I think a Portishead set would top Daft Punk, Bjork, Radiohead, and Kraftwerk.

The MySpace page is way old news. Those tracks on the page are totally different than anything they've ever done. No vocals on them, wonder if Beth is still in? Who cares if they do all their old stuff, I'd prefer it, nobody sounds like that or problably ever will. Where the hell is ATP doing a fest in the middle of winter?

yeah i have seen portishead a couple times and they are amazing live, loud and haunting...so yeah they could really do some good.

I wouldn't count on Portishead playing Coachella 08 considering that I read on this board that the police, underworld, prodigy, chemical brothers, primal scream, etc. were playing and/or being added to '07.

The ATP at Minehead last xmas was very badly organised, with a lot of time spent just trying to get from one stage to another. They do look after the fans though. Because the Dinosaur Jr set was so crammed full of people, a lot of fans couldn't get in to see them. The answer? They gave everyone stuck outside a ticket, and they did a ticket only 2nd performance early the next day.
