I have LCD, the Rapture Justice, Mstrkrft, Kraftwerk, kind of all the EDM that has been at Coachella. I would really like some DJs.

Deadringer's a must have for anyone with ears, but that's hip hop (and don't bother buying RJD2's latest albums yet)

There have been all kinds of EDM at coachella from IDM to drum&bass to electroclash to trip hop to breakbeat to house to just plain shit. It's also tough making recommendations for EDM "albums" because the EDM isn't really album based. The best stuff is found on singles


I've venture a couple recommendations though.

You want EDM(electronic DANCE music) in regards to DJ's get it? You arent missing anything with Tiesto if you think thats going to pass for "good" when it comes to your scope of taste if thats what a good dj is to you. Jack isnt helping you anymore cause you seemed to be on the level then just kinda screwed things up.

I agree these guys are among the tops in Breaks, but I tried to keep the recommendations to Albums instead of singles. I think Lee's the only one to have a full album of originals among them.

That is true... Even though the 3 Plump DJ's albums are all pretty decent, I usually just sort through the compilation albums they put out with the record label.. Basically a "Best Of..."..

Also... I definitely agree with Orbit about Stanton Warriors, I've always liked their stuff..

Check out the Krafty Kuts' Freak Show, Plump Djs' Eargasm, the Drumattic Twins' Drumattical which is pretty good also.. and probably someone already suggested Lee Combs' Breakfast of Champions.

If you are into nuskool breaks, you also should check Rogue Element' Rogue Rock. Best producer nowadays imo, and his singles are much better. Also the italian school is interesting if you like breaks with a techno taste, Santos and Madox, and their Mantra Breaks label do a realy good job. Stanton Warriors' Stanton Sessions mix is a piece of breaks history.

And as a special reccomendation, the mexican producer Neztic. Quality music!

IDM does NOT mean downtempo. IDM is all over the tempo map. acts like Squarepusher, Autechre, Aphex Twin, uZiq, etc. are icons of IDM and are anything but downtempo.
