My thread of questions

I am a broke person that needs to go to this.

I want to avoid all of the following
-Hotel room (I'll be camping)
-Car rental (is there a shuttle service an airport?)
-High cost of food and drinks (do they allow you to bring in food/water to the camping site?)


Will they let campers go in and out of the camping section throughout the day?

Is this going to sell out instantly on saturday?

There is no shuttle service that I know of, but you can try to find people to carpool with.

They allow you to bring food and non-alcoholic drinks into the campsite (but not into the festival itself).

Camping - camp on site, its cheap and close so you can walk to the event every day (not take a taxi)
Shuttle - don't think so but as another person suggested, you could try sharing a cab with other people headed in the same direction.
Food - yes, you can take your own food into the camping grounds on site. But not into the event itself.

Alright well how much will a taxi cost?

Will there be a way to get back to the airport sunday night without a lot of complications?

What airport should I fly to?

Not sure on a taxi, but I imagine it will be costly seeing as ***** is not located close to any airport.

Sunday night will be tricky, seeing as all the campers stay till Monday morning, unless you hitch a ride with someone staying in a hotel, even then I'm sure they will also be staying till Monday morning.

Airports are tricky as well, Palm Springs is the closest, but the most expensive to fly in to. LAX is far and a long drive.

It will not sell out instantly, probably not until March or mid April. Camping does sell out first, so if anything buy your camping tickets first.

Start saving some money. You can camp, rent a car, and eat if you budget correctly for under $200 bucks easily. If you put away $20 bucks a week, you'll be fine.

Try Ontario Airport! It's closer than LAX, but cheaper than Palm Springs.

And be warned. Food and Drinks are REALLY expensive in the festival. Water is $2.00 a bottle and it's hella hot out there. I am going to try to sneak in some water, but that should only get me through half the day.

Hi-
I recall no glass &/or alcohol allowed in campsite.
They check your cooler to remove glass.
I noticed some successfully smuggle in flasks in sleeping bags etc., but I don't recomend. Most just have a seperate cooler in car & make daily (hourly) trips.

No food/drink (INCLUDING WATER!) allowed in event.
Never able to smuggle in H20, but 420 never a problem hidden on my person. Keep your head up in event when partaking, uniformed police roaming throughout. However, you can't walk 20ft w/out smelling sweetleaf...
Bring earplugs if you camp for sleep & lots of water.

in 2003 my ipod almost died due to the heat in my car. The battery was never the same again.

well I'm coming from MA so I have a long plane ride. I really need somthing to entertain myself. And I really wanted the gps.

But It is a really fking expensive laptop. So I don't know.

The earplugs for camping are in case you have loud neighbors. There is supposed to be some sort of curfew but you still may have people talking/laughing/listening to music right next to you.

Though at the campsite (off-site) where I was there was all kinds of stuff going on and music playing but I was so dead I fell alseep anyway.

A lot of airports will rent personal dvd players out. You can return them at the destination airport.
