Anyone heard anything about Be The Riottt? Not that I'll get to go all the way up to SF, but last year's lineup really kicked ass (Asobi Seksu, Metric, Explosions in the Sky, Girl Talk).

Yeah, maybe. If they do it in the same place they did last year, theres just not a whole lot of open area at all. The only place where you could really go to relax or sit down was the grassy area in front of City Hall. There was also a little plaza area in one of the buildings. I would rather have them spend more money to get more/better artists than put up some cute little set pieces.

I thought those puppets sucked at first. Whoever was handling them really did a good job. Every little movement went along with the music.

Beck's set was weird, aside from the puppets. Most of it seemed like a medley of a lot of his songs, but didn't play the entire songs. I don't know, maybe the puppets threw me off. I wanted to hear some more stuff from The Information and less Guero.

I picked up a LA Weekly summer handbook a couple of weeks ago. It stated in the book that the announcment would be made in August.

My biggest complaint was that after Basement Jaxx (which I was upfront for).. I moved back, and couldn't see shit... The stage was really hard to see from a distance.

I really liked the spot, especially the little (actually big space, but no one was there) outside dance area.
