Default Travelling a long way to this gig...

    Hey all,

Myself and my buddy are flying from UK.

It all started a few years back just mentioning among friends if we could see any band in the last decade, who would it be? We both agreed how much it sucked we never got to see RATM. A comment of "I'd pay a months wages to see them" was said.

Another friend of mine made it to the 2000 Reading festival to see them and we hate him for that. This said friend posted a bullitin on his myspace some like "OH MY GOD!!!!111!!!" just giving a link to a news announcment saying how RATM were getting back together, but performing in LA.

It took 30 seconds before I started hunting for all the information, and ringing friends. Well....

Ive just stuck almost $700 on my credit card, oops! Need a flight now

Hopefully speak to a few peeps before we go and get ready for the drunkest weekend of my life x

lol, I might hire a car and go about LA for a bit. I'll be 23 just before the festival, I'll have to see what the age for international drivers in CA is?

It's 21, but if you're under 25 you usually have to pay an extra surcharge of around $25 a day because you're most likely to crash.

American roads are simple. Everything is in grids.

If you want to party, go to Vegas or LA. If you want the adventure type of thing, hit up Joshua Tree or the Grand Canyon. You are going to have a blast, and the jet lag with be worth it! I just moved back to the US from the EU, you'll love the weather out there, sunshine every day!
