I prefer the heat (for Coachella). This year's 105 was very enjoyable compared the 111 a couple of years ago.
    Whiskey Sour

    2 oz blended whiskey
    Juice of 1/2 lemon
    1/2 tsp powdered sugar
    1 cherry
    1/2 slice lemon

Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.

I saw the very first Lollapalooza show (1991?), and I think it was 118 that day in Phoenix.

Yeah give the country people nice weather so they return and help the fest make money. We dont want them to complain that it was insanely hot even though it is the desert. And the set times are interesting too, the last acts to perform finish by 11. Looks like if they go over they can still beat the noise curfew.

i see you haven't grasped the "i-don't-have-to-start-a-thread-about-everything-i-see-on-the-internet" concept yet.

    so guess what.

you don't have to start a thread about everything you see on the internet.

    you're welcome.

YEAH. This weather thing is total bullshit. Psychic Friend, it's totally unfair of you to give stagecoach better weather than us.

I bet they don't even have to smuggle it in.

i just realized that the main/coachella stage is called "the mane stage" at stagecoach.

    how clever.

can someone start a thread about that?

It's been very windy....you would not enjoy that. Some roads have been closed due to blowing sand & poles down. The air is brown. Your tent would blow to the Salton Sea. Your allergies would be VERY bad. Take the heat over the wind.

Hay is a valuable commodity. They would have been straw.

A Brief Explanation of the Difference Between Hay and Straw:

    *

Hay: Any of several nutritional grasses and legumes, such as alfalfa or clover, that is cut, dried, and then used as fodder for farm animals.
    *

Straw: Hollow stalks of grain (such as wheat), used mostly as bedding and garden mulch, but which is also used as feed. Straw has less nutritional value than hay. And if you ask a cow, she'll say that it doesn't taste as good, either.

and if you got hungry, you could eat it and you'd be more satisfied than if you ate your straw hat.

The weather here right now is beautiful. It was even chilly last night. Although driving here yesterday the air was total dust storm. Very brown air.

well, at the appaloosa stage they had bales of alfalfa. yes, there was alfalfa to the left and right of the stage instead of metal guardrails. my girlfriends sister was shocked because of how much she pays for it at her stables in anaheim. she wanted to back her truck up to it after the festival and load up!
