Anyone else blown away by how cool that was. The first few notes & then suddenlythe whole crowd starts singing the entire song? A song that came out in 1973!

I think they were more stoked than the crowd cuz they didn't wanna stop playing.

Definitely the set that I had no expectations & was totally blown away by. Like WTF did I ever just fluke out on awesomeness!!

Gabriela throwin' the horns was pretty sweet too!!!!

I completely concur. I was not able to get in the tent but I could hear everything just fine. A truly magical moment that most of my coachie friends missed because they were chilling in the Perpetual Art Machine tent. I'll absolutely see them again.

I can't believe I fucking missed this...twice!! I was passing by the gobi tent when they were on and it sounded amazing..and last night they played in denver but my flight didn't get in until 10pm...damnit...

They are awesome, their performance was one of the top 3 I saw all weekend.

I had just seen them in NYC a week ago and came on here telling people to check out their set at Coachella........at least I tried!

They were awesome.

I was planning on seeing the Roots, but wasn't feeling them, then heard all this amazing energy coming from R&G, clapping, high-speed latin acoustic guitars...it was amazing. I sat outside, eating a lemon ice, reading URB, letting the sun warm my back...a classic moment!!!!

My favorite part was when he picked up his beer and used it as a slide on his guitar then he drank from it, and the mexicans were super cool.

god that was some good $hit. i was by myself for the majority of this particular set but wouldn't have missed it for the world! thank goodness i'd seen the roots before, otherwise i'm sure it would have been a much tougher decision.

they were terrific. multi-cultural love. as far as music - they were 100% music - no gimmicks, no bad vocals, no celebs, no excuses.....just 100% pure, energetic, real, professional music.

I don't know why, but tears were rolling down my cheeks too when they were playing. I guess when confronted with such beauty, tears come. They were incredible!!!! Trust me, it just wasn't just sweat.

unfortunately, i could only catch the first 15 minutes of rodrigo y gabriela. they were SO FUCKING GOOD, but i had to tear myself away to catch most of soulwax.

absolutely no regrets, as soulwax nite versions was my most anticipated performance of coachella. it was awesome and then some, but i still wish i had seen more of r y g.
