First time out, plan on camping, are there shuttles, or cabs from airport to campground?
I've never known of any shuttles. The only public transport is the local bus system. www.sunline.org
I posted directions in the thread called "Palm Springs".
No shuttles from airport to the campground itself but you could take a bus. A cab might be too much. Let me know if you're willing to pay for a ride and I'll see what I can do. Where are you orginally from?
Hey all,
Im in the same boat...trying to figure out the best way to get from Palm Springs airport to the festival grounds...From what i've found out so far, the bus system is confusing, and time consuming, but probably cheap if you can get all yer transfers right, lol.
Cabs i hear run about $60+, which, depending on how much the '+' is, isnt too bad...
But a rental car through Enterprise is only about $100-$140, for thursday the 26th to monday the 30th. Which, if you spilt with one or more ppl, is a great idea! It also gives you a place to lock up important stuff while at the event! those seem like the real options... if anyone wnats to rent a car, i might be up for hitching a ride and spilting costs.
maybe some of us could split one of those cab-vans.
Hello,
I'd be keen to split the cost of car hire. I will be flying into Palm Springs from San Francisco on the Thursday and flying back from Palm Springs to SF on the Monday.
Stu.
A clear conscience is usually the sign of a bad memory
I'll be flying from Winnipeg to Palm Springs so if anyone is interested in splitting a cab or cab-van I'm definately down.
Hey all....
I'll be working at the 2007 again this year.
I also live about 2 blocks from the Polo Grounds.
While I dont have a taxi, I do have a truck .
IM me if all else fails.....if I can help, I will..
I 'd be glad to chip in on rides or a rental,I'm 20 so I cant do the renting. Thats a great idea about locking up your stuff.

me and 2 mates of mine are gettin the train of LAX union station, and off in palm springs, were takin a cab from there, so if anyone wants, we can get a 7 seater (if you've got those over in america) and split the price. just send me a message.
if you are planning to get a 7 seater in the US impossible. Only 3 tight seater. IF you are planning to fly to LAX and trying to get a group together. Rent a van shuttle. Look online there are a lot of companies offering the service from LAX. I guess if you get a group of 6 is gonna be no more than 70 dollars round trip from LAX to INDIO. It's cheaper than taking taxis to Union Station, which is downtown LA, plus a 20 milles taxi ride from palm springs to Indio. look at www.supershuttle.com
whats up guys, me and a buddy will be arriving at palm springs airport around 11 am on that friday, anyone renting a car? we can throw down. otherwise, 20 bucks for a ride to fantasy springs? if anyone could help out it would be greatly appreciated..
whats up people? i'll be arriving in palm springs around 6o p.m on thursday and camping on site, and leaving on monday if anyone wants to split a cab or a van ride or something, tha would help out with the costs. thanks.
email ajtaylor@olemiss.edu if interested
How long does it take to come from Palm Springs to the festival area? An hour?
i think it's only like 30 minutes but with traffic i dunno
Flying to palm springs is looking more tempting everyday...
Hmmm.
...and all these wonderful things will add up to some powerful experience that 10 years from now you’ll say, “Wow, we LIVED!"
i think im gonna need a ride from the airport haha
For the 26th I am definitely willing to carpool with a complete stranger to the campgrounds. So what's up, strangers.
I'm trying to get a feeling from the city, but I've been unfaithful.. I've been traveling abroad.
Whats up people.
I'll be flying from PHL (Philly, PA) to PSP (Palm Springs, CA) on FRI the 27th. I plan on renting a rental car from Avis. I will be a loner, so anybody looking for a ride, I'll see what I can do. Also, a quick question...would it be better to camp onsite or get a hotel?
Thanks
it would be cheaper to camp but getting tix is a ordeal in itsself
evo are you from phila? im from NJ and looking on flights right now where did you book your flight i might be interested in splitting a rental with ya
Yeah thats what I thought about the whole camping thing.
For plane tickets I was looking at kayak.com, it searches pretty much every fuckin' website that sells plane tickets, good prices. Haven't actually purchased them yet though. And on a rental it's like 130 for the 27th-30th. I'll double check but that sounds about right.
My friend and I are renting a car. We're flying in on the 26th and leaving early on the 30th. We should have room for 1 or 2 more people, if anyone would like to share the cost.
I'll be flying from the Philadelphia airport and arriving Thursday 26th. I need to find a ride to coachella. Willing to split the cost with strangers or whatever...feel free to send me a msg
What happen if someone make a crime?
