I've seen Dylan like 6 times. Maybe 2 or 3 were good. ACL was dreadful, I was way in the back and it sounded awful, and I left early.

Anybody else take the Dylan trivia quiz on the RS website?

Bob's from my neck of the woods. I caught both home coming shows. Once just alone, the other with Paul Simon. I didn't know Paul at the time but he was what I remembered and enjoyed most that day. Both shows were over 10 years ago so I'm sure it's gone downhill since.

I've been going through one of my regularly occurring Dylan intervals recently. Convinced that there's no better "fuck you" in the history of rock than "Positively 4th Street." And the bootleg series version of "Idiot Wind" may be the most perfect thing he ever did.

All the songs from the New York sessions are great. I find myself listening to the bootleg far more than the actual release.

Bob vs. PBS historians on what happened to the Stratocaster he used at Newport in 1965.

New album streaming here. After one listen, this is pretty great stuff. The playing on this is impeccable.
