Have to say Fri nite was the worst Coachella I have ever experienced. What a terrible lineup in the end. Crappy sound from main/outdoor stages, delays, main stage was the most depressing lineup in years, JAMC were fucking useless, Bjork camera man should have been shot. Overall 1/5.

I thought The jesus and Mary chain were amazing. Always were. Jarvis Cocker killed it too, very nice set. I only attended friday but I liked it...to each their own I suppose.

It's a shame the crew couldn't get their shit together on the outdoor theater. Jarvis didn't come on until 9, but he seriously fucking owned the whole festival. No idea what happened...Of Montreal ended on time, but when I came before 7, I saw that Stephen Marley went over by 20 minutes. Did he start late or just play an extra long set?

Wish I could have seen JAMC and Sonic Youth. I heard DJ Shadow did "Rabbit in Your Headlights", which would have owned.

Ahaha, I saw Jessica Alba dancing on stage during Peaches.

Friday was a good day. Jarvis owned, Bjork was mesmerizing, Interpol was decent, Peaches was..., Of Montreal was great, as were Comedians of Comedy.

JAMC was surprisingly good. Even the new song was good. Had to leave a little early to get a spot for Jarvis, which turned out to be a mistake, since they couldn't get one of the keyboards working and got off to a late start.

Agreed - the sound guys screwed up Jarvis in a big way, it was very frustrating. Then the sound guys at Gogol ran around like chickens with their heads cut off. I was sad cause people got frustrated and walked away, and so the Gogol crowd size suffered . . .

JAMC was AWESOME! I have always wanted to see them, so it was a treat! I am stoked for today. Getting a later start so I don't pass out from the heat, but I can't decided between Travis, New Porn, and Nightwatchmen ...

What are you talking about! Bjork's performance was positively the best thing I have EVER seen. Ever.

JAMC was as if they never had time off, Digitalism, Of Montreal (though they had a few sound issues in the beginning) and Flostradamus (can't spell this, too lazy to look it up) was also really great.

The stage where ''Tilly and the wall'' and ''Circa survive'' played needed a new sound guy the mix was all wrong the highs and mids were all fucked whereas the bass was OK... not a good thing at all...

Interpol was decent but to me they were all that and a bag of chips, man what a light show!

i had a good amount of fun. interpol was awesome, in my opinion, as was bjork, and of montreal. i was pleasantly surprised by the arctic monkeys, who i'm not a big fan of on record, but they played together very tightly. massive amounts of applause to goldenvoice for a) opening more gates up for everyone to leave at the end of the night and b) somehow, at least for lot 4, getting all the cars out much, much quicker than i've ever experienced at coachella. made the end of the night, your lower back locked up and swollen, your feet aching, delerious, much easier. some poo-poos at goldenvoice for shortening the line railings for when you wait to get padded down etc. - really long, disorganized lines waiting to get in resulted. the seperation of food courts was interesting, although i don't know if it was necessary or not. the dome tent was cool. selling gatorade was a good addition. generally a good time.

We laughed so hard at the Comedians of Comedy! Totally not expecting a 2 1/2 hour set in a tent to be so entertaining. Every time we wandered over to the Sahara tent beautiful people and music were blending quite nicely. Had some usual worries about getting my medication in (insulin and syringes) but, once again, it was not a problem. We headed home at 11 pm and it was the easiest exit we've ever experienced. Made it home to Long Beach by 1 am. It was great to be back at Coachella, if only for a day, after our 2 year absence.

JAMC were great. They had stage problems (bad mike, cymbal problem) and still rocked it. Amy Winehouse was awesome. Bjork sounded great but bored the shit out of me. WTF was up with the shots of that ridiculous sound board that didn't appear to do anything. The all woman brass band would have been cool for a couple of songs but all night? Peeping Tom sounded off. Stephen Marley rocked the house and went over by 20 minutes. Something i hadn't experienced before at Coachella. Screwed up my timing, but worth it. Overall, great day.

Are you kidding? lol as soon as 7:30pm rolled around the dance tent became awesome, felix the housecat...followed by benny benassi, whom by the way is a complete GOD. I rolled through both sets and it was amazing.

by the way, does anyone know why he didnt play California Dreaming? My guess was he doesnt own the rights to the song but was just wondering. And DJ shadow was pretty sweet in the outdoor theatre....oh and by the way, interpol was sweet too.

david j was so bizarre! i didn't even know it was him until later. i can't say i really enjoyed it, but it was weird and i don't regret watching him for about 15-20 minutes.

I saw:

Tokyo Police Club - lots of out-of-time crowd clapping + sloppyness but stil a very energetic + entertaining set.
Silversun Pickups - funny banter, great set and a great vibe.
Artic Monkeys- surprised me! amazing! lots of fun and funny britishness.
Jesus+Mary Chain - good to hear the tunes, still kind of bland + jaded. i guess thats to be expected
Sonic Youth - really owned. The RR tracks have really tightened up and I was actually fine with hearing Reena+Incinerate, very exciting. I've never heard Mote live either, and the noise section was perfectly mixed.
