Are we allowed to bring in closed bottles (like one bottle per person) of bottled water?? I think i remember security letting people bring one in as long it was unopened..

i have never had success with this.
2 words... camper entrance...
Technically, no.
It really depends...
If you're camping you're allowed to bring in as much bottled water as you want. And you HAVE to have a camping ticket to get in through the camping area.
If you're going into the concert through the regular entrance I would say, "Good luck with that." But, once you get in, you can buy one bottled water and just keep filling it up. I think I remember there being like water fountains or something.
You certainly can bring in water into the camping area, but you aren't allowed to bring in water from the camping area into the concert venue...I'm not sure what you people are talking about.
In 05' they allowed one bottle, sealed, per person.
We were allowed to bring in one sealed bottle per person last year via the camping entrance.
I remember at point, at the camping entrance, they were giving away water and ice cream...sweet.
Economy sucks, don't think were going to get anything this time, and to fill Polo Field's pockets they'll make us buy all the water we need and want.
Just spend the $2 for your first bottle. Then just keep filling it with the free water. It's not Evian, but it's not bad either. It doesn't get much cheaper than that. Plus it makes for less bottles to trip over at night.
I wouldn't recommend sex, drugs or insanity for everyone, but they've always worked for me.
We heard about people getting one bottle in per person from the camping entrance first day last year. So for sunday we each bought gallon jugs and thought, hey it's 1 bottle right? Probably overkill cuz they wouldn't let us in. So we screamed "Who wants water dumped on their heads" immediately 30 people formed a nice line and we began to pour. It was pretty funny.
Of course we were bone dry again in like a half hour though.
They do set up a water fountain, but the line's always huge. The trick is this (I shouldn't post this because everyone will use my trick) --
A) Water in the bathrooms is potable.
B) Right near the entrance, on the right fence with the bushes, there are a few spickets. I went there between every set to reenergize last year. Not many people know about them, they're sort of hidden. So do that.
Do the water fountains have metal pipes leading to them? At Lollapalooza in 05, it got up to 108 degrees, the pipes heated up and the water coming out of the fountains was warm to hot - yuck!
It was a hose, but the water was still pretty warm. The stuff from the spickets was nice and cool, though.
ah.. my main concern isn't really water.. it's bringing in clear liquid that looks like water.. yes.. i know the bottle has to be sealed.. but that can be easily fixed.

and now you all have your answer why even sealed bottles are not alowed![]()
Just toss your bottles over the fence and pick them up on the other side. No way would you ever get caught.
Unless someone else fucking picks it up before you.
send in someone to throw it to then.
Wouldn't security get suspicious with flying water bottles?
I'm sure that they're wise to it now.
*eyes dart around nervously*
E
so wait you can bring in bottled water into the camp grounds. are they nazi's and do they check every individual bottle? im planning on sneaking in some bathtub moonshine...
you can bring in food/drink into the campgrounds.
however, i was not able to get a single bottle of water in through the VIP/Camping entrance into the festival last year. the whole show was being run by completely incompetent women who did not listen to everyone telling them that they had the line setup completely wrong and ended up fucking a whole bunch of people over.
Yes yr bottles will be checked hardcore! You need a thin flask down yr pants to pull this off. The staff will be happy to sell you back yr bottle of water they took at the gate as your walking back to yr car after the show. Just look for the guys with coolers filled with various brands of water. They'll be happy to take yr buck or 2 to relieve you from the 10' waves of dust blowing in the parking lot. Yr gonna want a bottle of water just to clean yr car windows.
I highly recommend drinking only at night or when the sun goes down. As said before you'll pass out & you won't be drunk very long because you'll sweat it right out It's really pointless & expensive to drink as I've found out the hard way. With that said have fun with the shine & save a schwill for me!

the rules on bottled water aren't absolute. last year we were able to bring in at least one (from camp to polo fields), maybe a few.
its just a matter of which security person happens to check your bag
