Saul Williams or Princess Superstar way back in the Bjork/Oasis year. The first band I saw a full set from was Kosheen, which was wonderful.

Saint Germain on the Outdoor Stage at mid-afternoon in 2001 - they were playing "Rose Rouge" and they were a-swingin! The audience was REALLY diggin on them. I have not missed a day of Coachella since.

The first band that i saw in coachella was in 2003 well it wast a band but it was hernan cattaneo in the sahara tent after waiting in line to get in the polo field like 2 hours i think i was going to die from the heat.

2002..the Strokes but only for a minute because the guys my friend and I went with were still in line and we left them. So unfortunately we had to go back and wait for them. For me, 2002 was the best line-up ever!
