I just got a canon sd1000 for coachella.
Dig cameras are so cheap now anything is really good as long as it has the name canon, sony, nikon, olymus, HP, or Samsung. Oh yeah and Kodak. All around 5 megapix and about $100. I prefer canon.
Search button is your friend, a couple threads on this. My reccomendations are as follows Canon SD630 or SD750 or Sony DSC T10 or DSC T100. Check em out and let me know what you get.
I have a Canon S3.

If you plan on shooting any video clips with a digital camera, Panasonic is amazing. The best quality contributions to the Daft Punk video bootleg were recorded on Panasonic.
best camera at coachella is no camera. not that im saying that some at coachella have sticky fingers, but just dont get it out of your sight. otherwise, your camera and all your digital memories will be sold at some IE pawnshop to fund some tweaker's meth habit..
I just picked up the Canon S3. It is super badass! The zoom is crazy and the video feature was rated the best among digi cams.
Are they bringing in your S3???? i have the same camera, but im not sure if they will allow it..
its not slr. no removable lens. non profesional. it fits within the guidelines.
Hope I don't get grief!
Nikon makes excellent cameras by the way, but the Canon SD series are a nice small digi option with many price points.

I got a canon a710, which takes really good pictures, and has 6x optical zoom, but they sound quality of videos sucks right next to the speakers. Cnet has really good reviews on digital cameras, and one of the links there is where I got mine from.
I go to shows and festivals.
