I think the term "fan" is rather misleading; there are tons of people who like "Killin in the Name Of . . ." or "Badfish", but do not listen to these bands beyond what they hear on the radio, and can not be considered "fans". These people are not fans, these people are douchebags who also like Panic at the Disco and Against Me. Including them in a fan discussion is misguided. Both bands are utterly amazing in their own way, and I'm sure have legions of idiot fans, as does Zeppelin, The Smiths, and every other band that has ever sold 1,000,000 records.
