Thread: No Camelpacks?

    Default No Camelpacks?

I just read under rules that no camelpacks are allowed. How strict are they on that issue? I really depend on mine, especially in the middle of a moshing crowd...

I'm pretty sure they enforce all of the rules. Why else would they post them?

maybe they're not allowed (even if it's empty) because, you could go into the beer garden and fill up. they don't allow alcohol out of the beer garden.

I got a camelpack before I read the rules. What if I take out the water pouch? I like the backpack otherwise.

i'm sure they'll want to look inside it just to make sure. aren't those things pretty small though? you won't fit much in it.

I bought one for coachella, I'm bringing it.

I'm going to have 2 liters of water on my back at all times. Its going to save my life.

PF can we bring them in empty or what?

Well, I have seen people with them every single year. As far as filling them up with beer, that's just absurd since they serve you beer in a plastic cup...and trying to do so without anyone seeing is probably not possible, the visual is quite amusing though.

Every year someone has them because they sneak them in. Last year I had mine completely full and went right in on Saturday, the next day however they search all backpacks to make sure you didn't have a camelpack. Since I saw them doing this while I was in line I emptied my pack out and just rolled up the camelpack and hid it in my backpack.

We got in each day fine with an empty one. Safest rolling it up and hiding it though.
