this is my first coachella and i'm wondering something. when there were last minute additions/special guests in the past, were they announced before the concert with a set time or did they just show up on a stage?

In the past the add ons trickled in up until the set times were released. Last year Kayne was announced with the release of the set times. The only really last second one I can remember was Beck in '04 but I can not remember when they released that he was playing.

kanye west was added like two days before the festival (so the thursday before) and i think he was the only add last year. normally i don't think people show up randomly and play with other people

but daft punk is going to come on for LCD's rendition of "daft punk is playing at my house".

and then i wake up.

by the way i went to this music festival last year here in miami and they didn't have the set times until you walked into the fest. it was torture and i appreciate GV for putting out this stuff a week in advance. that seems fair.
