I'll be staying at a friend's house on shadowcrest lane, which is a few mins away from the riviera palm springs shuttle stop. Is there any parking around there, or should I just lend my friend who isn't coming to the fest with us my car for a bit?

I can't remember what the parking situation is like out there, but I'd just lend your friend the car. No point in driving the car out if you don't have to and I'm sure your friend will appreciate it. Plus, if you are crashing at his/her house, it could be a good repayment for sleeping and showering at theirs. Just seems like it's one thing less to worry about if you leave it with the friend.

I've got a weekend 1 reservation at a motel in Rancho Mirage and need a weekend 2 reservation. Anybody know if switching reservations with someone is even possible?

Most hotels will let you switch the name on a reservation.

I have a house in Indian Palms and i think the hotel is pretty outdated but probably the closest hotel to the festival. I would suggest walking or biking. Pointless to drive bc a lot of the parking is probably just as far to park. and traffic on the main street in and out of our community os TERRIBLE!!!!! just my opinion
