nah it was in the same place for years before the town got sick of it. they went to a town in IL who said nuh-uh before this years festival (the first year they tried to hold it there) before moving to ohio.

That would mean they would have to go there, take photos, etc. No chance they all make it out alive.

Pretty sure faxman and Randy have stories of being juggalos. Growing up in the midwest I have had plenty of run ins with them. I even chaperoned my sister at a Twiztid concert. Apparently they just played a sold out show at the Skyway here, which is probably around a 2500 person venue.

Seeing Gilbert Gottfried at the Gathering would be a good waste of a road trip. And I can see myself bonding with juggalos over Championshit Wrestling.

I'd go to their next Cabooze show. I saw them in 2000 or 2001 when I actually could get into their music a little and it was a blast

That was probably the same show I saw. Some dude threatened to kick my ass for seamingly no reason. I think because I wasn't wearing any juggalo gear.

The question we need to ask ourselves is: Why don't black people go to the gathering?

Other than some artists? Is it turning into the next Coachella or what?

About half-way through I thought to myself that this would be funny to witness from above... like 50 feet above.

The cops are gonna have a blast at this thing. Its a small conservative farming community there and they don't take to kindly to hippie fests so these Juggalos will likely not be back at this venue next year after authorities see how this goes down. Sound curfew there is fairly early also if I remeber correctly.
To be fair, up until about 2004, the same was being said about Coachella... Now they're selling Coachella T-shirts at the local K-mart...

I read some interview because I was curious. I guess the bass player won't let him use the name without him getting paid. I laughed. I'm pretty sure said bass player plays with some other nu-metal band now. Soulfly maybe?

True story, during Kreayshawn's set at Fun Fun Fun Fest in 2012, Wayne Static was on the side of the stage, it was pretty amazing.

Man, Kreayshawn feels like almost as dated of a reference as Static X is . . . And that was only two years ago.

I saw Static-X when I was in high school for some reason, it was actually a pretty fun show though. I even got a couple of Static-X bass picks at the end of the show. I have no idea where they are now.

Why do you guys all say "some reason" as if you weren't into that music 10 years ago.
Dave, when I saw ICP it was in Duluth. Maybe the same tour though. They played the Quest two days earlier with Esham and Step Kings

This. Also, was it really 10 years ago? I thought it was longer. I know I have the Push It maxi-single somewhere.

Well when I went to the show I had no idea that Static X and Korn were playing. My friend got us tickets for Mudvayne and the other bands just happened to be playing.

It was the other way around. It went Static X>Mudvayne>Korn. It was one of those little radio station festivals and we just didn't pay any attention to who else was playing when we bought tickets.

Oh man, I remember seeing Static-X in SF at least 10 years ago during the Family Values tour, of all things. I was walking out of a goth/industrial club w/ my friend, and some guy came up and went "hey, do you like Static-X?" I had no idea who Static-X where, but went "Static-X Rocks! Whooo!" Because.. why not? And then the guy gave us a pair of tickets to the Family Values tour, and a pair of *light* *switch* *covers* with the Static X logo (of all the random-ass things). If I remember correctly, it was something like Deadsy, Static-X, Staind, Stone Temple Pilots, and Linkin Park.

Ah, the Cow Palace. What an utter craphole of a "big show" venue. Where good accoustics go to die.
