Default Who did you see in 2014?

List in order from top to bottom the artists you saw this year. In descending order, put the best shows at top and worst shows towards the bottom (only include artists that you watched for greater than 15 minutes).

    weekend 1

    Muse
    Arcade Fire
    Bonobo
    Queens of the Stoneage
    Fatboy Slim
    Jagwar Ma
    Disclosure
    Duke Dumont
    Holy Ghost
    Beck
    Blood Orange
    Little Dragon
    Cage the Elephant
    OutKast
    nicole moudaber
    DJ Falcon

    Grouplove
    Naked and Famous
    the Replacements

    Dillon Francis
    art department
    Big Gigantic
    Thriftworks

acts I saw for less than 15 minutes
the Knife (went to get a good spot for outKast. Wished I stayed)
Pixies (caught where is my mind which was awesome but it felt a little bit packed and I needed to hit the restroom, didnt make it back )
Woodkid (caught a couple songs, much different than I expected as it was less symphony and more amped)
Maceo Plex (deep/dark. I liked it but had to get to little dragon)
Lucent Dossier Experience (meh, its cool but not worth missing out on other artists)
CHVRCHES (heard mother we share and then headed to holy ghost. great decision)
Girl Talk (fucking terrible, I was eating a fish taco while listening to this trash)
Calvin Harris (dear god, what are they doing to our children?)

    Weekend 1

Arcade Fire (as a Canadian who hadn't seen them, perfect show to end the weekend. I also love the new album as much as Funeral, and got to front row, so there's that...)
Nas (Illmatic in full plus Jay and Diddy giving love)
QotSA (...Like Clockwork was my favourite album of 2013 in a year of great albums. Sounded perfect; someone on the forum used the words 'criminally underattended'. Agreed)
Chromeo (guilty pleasure, and best dance party of the weekend)
Flatbush Zombies (just behind Nas for best rap show of the weekend, great way to start the fest)
OutKast (Pros: actually loved the list of songs played, we were 1st in over 10 years; Cons: Order of songs played, Future.)
Beck (better than I could have ever imagined. He was happy, he danced, he played lots of classics and the Morning Phase songs sounded fantastic live)
the Replacements (goddamn classic and fun shit. Paul fucking around during the set made it more lively and real)
Jagwar Ma (so good. I was surprised the Gobi was packed for this honestly, the energy from them and the crowd were superb)
    GOAT (weird and excellent)
Neutral Milk Hotel (only a testament to how good the whole weekend was that Mangum and co. are down here. The most amazing sunset show I could ask for)
AFI (better than I thought it'd be actually, took me right back to the early 2000's, being angry and what not)
Pharrell (whined about the sandstorm. Whatever, I still thought his set was legendary)
Fatboy Slim (another one that took me right back to late 90's/early 2000's, even though he's changed so much)
Warpaint (Solid set top to bottom, but when they played Undertow, took it to another level of awesomeness)
Pixies (saw them 10 years ago for their 4th(?) show back in an intimate setting. Totally different feel now. Liked it a lot though. Wish they played more Doolittle/SR)
Unlocking the Truth (these kids will be as big as Lamb of God one day. Super talented. Was surprised to hear lyrics now)
Frank Turner (So good, so much energy. He's actually pretty big where I'm from in Canada, hope he keeps gaining listeners)
MGMT (They may have better songs, but Kids was pretty epic)
Ratking (real solid show, I don't think there were more than 300 people watching max. Y'all missed out)
Ty Segall (Ahhhh, nice to know someone can still just fucking rock)
Chance the Rapper (love Acid Rap, loved the set. Lost points for Bieber. Seriously, huh?)
the Naked and Famous (another great dance-ish party. Alisa is so sexy)
CHVRCHES (catchy. Probably would have worked more to their advantage and pale skin with a night-time tent set)
Preservation Hall Jazz Band (I got completely sucked in while charging my phone. No way to avoid enjoying that set)
Ellie Goulding (beautiful voice. Beautiful woman in general)
Gabba Gabba Heys (can't ever go wrong with Ramones)
Foxygen (weird goodness, particularly the frontman (Sam?))
Calvin Harris (had zero intention of seeing this. But there was no escaping that crowd after NMH. For me, it was infectious and I had a great time. But it's still Calvin Harris)
Julian Casablancas (sounds like he had more fun weekend 1 than 2, but still a strange set where he basically outright said fuck it, I'll just play what I want.)

    Less than 15 minutes:
the Knife (had to go see OutKast. No regrets, but I wish I could have seen more than 3 songs. One word I can think of for that show was captivating)
Broken Bells (had to move on for my guilty pleasure Chromeo, but heard Perfect World and After the Disco. Everything I wanted)
Wye Oak (Wish I'd wandered in before the very end of this one, solid stuff)
Holy Ghost! (Again, wandered in too late. Crowd was pumped)
Lorde (wasn't going to miss Fatboy Slim or Pixies for her, but the first few songs were pretty nice)
Fishbone (sweet energy, fun music. Seemed like lots of different age groups were enjoying too)
Blood Orange (Besides Julian, the only act I saw that I was actually underwhelmed with. Wasn't what I was looking for at that moment, decided not to stick around)

Diversity and variety are key in my opinion. Having said that, I spent a grand total of 30 minutes in the Sahara all weekend (for Fatboy, before Pixies). I am happy with my decisions

never listened to the replacements before this year and to be frank I didn't think their performance was that great. I can see why some people like them but they're not for me.
