"Karin Dreijer Andersson, the band's singer, had the sides of her blond head shaved, and sang these lines with an evil alacrity: "In a dream I lost my teeth again / Calling me woman and half man / Yes in a dream all my teeth fell out / A cracked smile and a silent shout."
The bros stopped raving. The rest of the crowd, however, went berserk. These were the Knife's people."
Watching Glitch Mob right now...EdiT looks like a total douche now...music has taken a dive since i saw them last too...
I'm bummed Foxygen is such an amateur act. I was excited about them.
Just got word that Unlocking the Truth was a way better choice.
I clicked over to Bear Hands to get away from that nightmare. I so wish Banks was being streamed.
2013 = Coverchella
2011 = Perfectchella
And I wonder how Syd Arthur was, another act I was excited to see.
Foxygen had a lot of buzz with great reviews from their performances at multiple festivals last year. They have a reputation of being a good live act.
I have Foxygen on in the background as I do some house cleaning. Waiting on Chvrches. Wish Holy Ghost! was being streamed. I'll probably tune out until the Pixies > QOTSA
I take half of it back. They got their shit together sorta. I still love the album.
White lies lead singer looks like Tom Brady
Wow Temples sounds great live!
Wait , guy from workaholics is in Ty Segall band?
CHVRCHES are pleasant enough. They just need to polish their sound a bit. I think in a couple years they ca be great in a night or sunset time slot.
Damn it looks super windy. That chandelier above the outdoor stage is swinging back and forth quite a bit I'd freak out if I was under it.
Woah, Ty Segall is awesome.
And this was during punk and hardcore sets, where people were actually stage diving and moshing.
The dude in Chvrches needs to work on his vocals, big time.
Chvrches guy who just sang a song...put Lauren back on. No bueno. Thanks.
EDIT: What he^ said.
northside groove...southside groove....eastside groove...westside groove
His hipster dance works though.
Totems have gotten way out of control. Why do they allow people to bring this shit in? If I walked up to the gates with a metal pole they wouldn't let me bring it in but if I stick a stupid fucking doll at the top that makes it ok? I don't get it
I dunno if this was said before but I am pretty impressed by the quality of the webcast. Not just the performances but all the original content between sets that give behind the scenes insight on the art and a variety of other stuff. None of it is pre-recorded too, its all made daily.
Yeah, the quality of the webcasts for some years has been quite good (it's our 4th year not attending); they pretty much have it dialed in. The greatest aggravation has always been that not all performances are streamed, and there's always something you were really looking forward to that's not available. But I do really like being able to go about my business at home and listen and watch in comfort, and still get stuff done.
