Default The Replacements aren't on the webcast?

What the what? After attending the last 5 years, I decided to take a pass this year, mostly due to the lukewarm lineup and the hassle of finding accommodations. Never having really watched the webcast, I assumed all the top/second line acts were shown.

Was surprised not to see The Replacements, along with some other top line bands (The Knife, NMH, etc) not on the schedule.

I'm guessing the reason is certain bands have some sort of "no broadcast" policy? Other Coachella 'exclusives' like Pharrell are being broadcast, so I'm thinking this one was up to the 'mats.

Anyone have any insight into how the webcast bands are chosen?

Certain bands are protective about recordings getting out there and want to be in full control of their material.

Full audio of all 3 Riot fest circulated quite freely and even on some semi official sites.

A stream would INCREASE their demand for bookings not hurt ticket sales to the other 3 fests they are doing in the summer.

This one stings as there is VERY little pro shot 'mats footage out there.

Yeah, I had a feeling barely any of the acts I wanted to see would be featured on the webcast. Pretty lame.

They kicked ass. I was surprised by how small the crowd was but nonetheless they were really fucking good. I would definitely see them again if I were going to weekend 2.
