i always thought that part of the reason why rage broke up was that there was pressure from their label for them not to go too far left... zack being idealist said fuck it, the rest of the dudes said we need to get paid (hence getting chris cornrows to fill the spot). maybe it was more than that, maybe there were threats bigger than that of the label.... but now with this one time reunion (which is obviously cash related, don't be silly and think it isn't) makes me lose that much hope that musicians will one day again be a driving force behind social change.

i dont think thats why they split. i think it was musical differences. i remember a quote after they split of zack saying something to the effect of "it got to the point where you knew what every rage album would sound like before it came out."

i think he wanted the bands sound to evolve a bit, and those guys just knew how to play one way. not that that one way sucked, but i can see where hes coming from. ill still be rockin out with my cock out sunday night.
