Fucked up last one....
To see Headliners only (9-->)
Usually sometime between the first two options. If there is someone I want to see playing first thing then I try to get there in time for opening but I'm bad at judging traffic so I usually fuck it up.
Car camping makes it so much easier to get in there earlier. I always tend to go in early the first day to scope out the art. Next couple of days it really depends on our mood and who's playing.
I really can't understand people who only go in at night to check out headliners though
Usually around noon (W1), I like to catch the early sets and have time to mill about freely before the place gets too crowded. I'm usually moving a little slower W2 so probably more like 1.
2005, 2007, 2011, 2012 W1, 2012 W2, 2013 W1, 2013 W2, 2014 W1, 2014 W2 and SOON 2015 W1 & 2015 W2!!
Between 11 and Noon the gates aren't terribly oppressive.
Some of my favorite Coachella sets over the last 5 years have happened before 3 o'clock.
I like how everyone's response, including mine, isn't listed
But yeah, 12:00 is the perfect time to get there
Noon on Fridays because people have no idea what the hell they're doing on that first day, including the people directing traffic.
Closer to 2 on Sat and Sun unless there's an early act I'm hell-bent on catching.
I like to go depending on how hot it is. If it's too hot I usually get stuck in the campsite for fear that it'll get hotter once I move.

I try to arrive earlier, but the hotel shuttles don't allow one to get to the drop off point, walk to the grounds, and get through security before 1:30ish. Here's hoping The Preatures don't play until 2.
The Knife - Beck - The Cult - Motorhead - QOTSA - Outkast - The Replacements - Bryan Ferry - Pet Shop Boys - Temples - Crosses - Washed Out - The Preatures - Little Dragon - Mogwai - Broken Bells - Jon Spencer - Tiga - The Internet - Blood Orange - Naked and the Famous - The Knife - The Knife - The Knife - The Knife
I'm honestly surprised that there was even one person on the boards who voted "Only the Headliners, 9+"
I don't understand why anyone would...

this changes every day... First day always at gates and then second day I'm regretting staying up so late and 3rd day I can't believe its almost over and I'm there every minute I can be!
I go whenever there is someone I want to see. It's usually no later than 3 ish. Sometimes I find that I spend a lot of time in the parking lot getting drunk meeting random people. While this is fun, I can be easily distracted and miss the gig I'm trying to see.
I usually tell myself I'm going to save my energy and wait until the late afternoon/early evening when the first band I really want to see is playing. Then I get overexcited and bored of waiting, and I'm there by noon milling around in the blazing heat.
