    Default Fixing the Scalping Dilemma

With ticket scalping becoming a bigger and bigger issue with each passing year....why don't they follow Glastonbury and require registration with a picture ID?

I would have to assume its due to money...

They already have the "2 tickets per household" rule. Still doesn't stop massive corporations like Stubhub

Well if they implemented the same system like Glastonbury-all other sites like ebay, stubhub, CL wouldn't be an issue. With such a system you have to regisiter with an uploaded picture of yourself which is printed on your festival pass. For those that can no longer go they simply put them up for resell on the Glastonbury website. Seems to work quite well.

Scalping is not a big issue.

As long as I can buy a weekend 2 pass from a "scalper" for half-price right before the festival, I'm okay with things staying the way they are.

StubHub is only a market. They don't go out to buy the tickets anymore than Ebay does.
With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams; it is still a beautiful world.

Tollett said in one of his interviews that passes will always be transferable, which is for the most part is true.

Glasto also offers refund(minus 50-75 bucks) for the pre-sale buyers that didn't like the lineup. I have a feeling GV don't want this feature.
