Bud light lime isn't bad in the sun for a breakfast drink.
    Spicy pie is mainstream shit.

Where can I get Mucho Aloha? Friend brought it last year. I know its made down in San Diego, but driving from Seattle that's a little out of the way.

Man that Modus Hoperandi by the Ska Brewing Company is an intense IPA - it's like drinking liquified pine needles & cones then there's a bitter grapefruit punch in the face.
Tecate is sessionable, I'm going to stick with that in the hot sun.

I work for Bevmo in San Diego and we have a pretty decent selection of craft beer in cans. Notables are Ballast Point, Pizza Port and Modern Times. If you are looking for something craft but more east drinking I would say go with the Ballast Point Longfin Lager. On the other end if you would like a nice IPA to beat the desert heat Id say a Pizza Port Swamis or Ballast Point Sculpin. Modern Times Black House Coffee Stout will be quite delicious for breakfast.

Im going weekend two and will have quite the collection of local SD beers in tow. Anyone down for a meet up or beer trade in the campgrounds?

Also, Firestone Walker just began canning their blonde ale 805 and releasing it in the Paso Robles area. Im hoping that we can pick up distribution for it down in So Cal before the fest.

Anyone have thoughts on Hangar 24? I had their IPA once a few years ago. Looks like they have a lager and a wheat in cans now. Are either of those any good? The brewery is only a short detour off the freeway in Redlands, looks like it could be worth a quick pit-stop.

Pretty damn good. Goes down smooth on a hot Coachella day.
This is the way to go. They sell 24 packs at Costco I believe.

Yeah, not for the hop-heads. But they're so easy to toss back, and not too sweet so you don't get sick of 'em.

    Agreed.
I was all about these a couple summers ago.
All I could find was the summer/lemon berry shandy, though.
The orange might be equally delicious.

3rd shift lager is pretty good. I won't even touch anything from Avery. That brewery sucks.

Zack and I found a Total Wine in Sacramento while driving through Sacramento today so we did our first round of canned beer for Coachella:

    - 12 pack Abita Purple Haze
    - 6 pack Avery White Rascal
    - 6 pack 21st Amendment Sneak Attack Saison
    - 6 pack Caldera Pale Ale
    - 6 pack Caldera IPA
    - 4 pack Ruhstaller 1881 Red Ale
    - 6 pack Track 7 Panic IPA

Caldera is a brewery from Ashville Oregon which I've never even tried before. Haven't had the Ruhstaller, and Track 7 either, but I'm excited to get to try something new at Coachella. I'll probably buy a few different 6 packs locally, too. Maverick's Back in the Saddle Rye Pale Ale is the perfect light desert breakfast beer so I know I'll get some of that.

It may be Colorado bias, but I think that Oskar Blues is killing it in the craft canned beer market! Ten FIDY is a Chocolate Coffee flavored stout with a 10% ABV and tastes phenomenal.
