    Default Die Antwoord?

They are making some rounds in other festivals and have no dates booked around Coachella. Hope they come!

I remember when they played in 2010 and had a late night Sahara set. Never seen so many ppl running from such awful music. Can't their gimmicky music just... die?

I loved that set. They played a tight 30 minutes and were a great opener for the headliner (2manydjs?)

Four years is a long time. I have seen many acts that I felt sucked early on and have gone on to be big (MGMT and QOTSA are two). I am not saying they are going to be big, but I am sure they would be fun.

I just want to see Yolandi naked.

I dig Die Antwoord because of what they represent. In a perfect world music would be appreciated by all for its audible legitimacy and innovation not because of sex appeal.

You can't use your imagination? I mean she has already appeared practically naked in half the vids. I prefer her hanging out the window of a rolling low rider keeping it ZEF. That is sexy to me. She can sell way more albums and make way more money dressing in skimpy gear and keeping creeps guessing and salivating than she could make in a magazine spread.

Word. I'm just fucking around. They are coming to Portland and tickets sold out instantly at $25, scalpers are asking $210.

The were a fucking blast at OSL in 2012. One of the best sets of the Weekend, and I'm not even a huge fan aside from 3 or 4 songs.

They were ok but they werent a great opener. They cleared all the people out of the Sahara for 2manydjs which was appreciated.
Certain songs they get so scratched into our souls

one of my bigger regrets of 2010 was listening to what the masses on the forum had to say about die antwoord without digging deeper myself. cut to one year later and what do you know, i'm a die antwoord fan. oh well, such is coachella.

caught their last show at the fox. short set (just under an hour?) but there was no filler, they were awesome. the fucking DJs that opened for them on the other hand, the ones we were all booing as they finished their twice-as-long-as-it-should-have-been set, who's idea of a DJ performance was spin some KROQ top 40 bullshit while they chase each other on stage and wrestle each other like a couple of 12 year olds... yea fuck those guys.

They certainly have fans. There is not a group that this board would get behind 100% (sans Daft Punk). I find it interesting that they are not included this year. They are shooting a movie in L.A, which has them not only in the U.S but California as well. They got booked on the Sasquatch roster, a show that copycats Coachella as much as they can. They are not booked during Coachella for any gigs.

They sold out in minutes in Portland, Oregon last week when tickets went on sale, so it's not that easy. I see 16 after market tickets on sale for that show starting at $200. Sixteen tickets for sale means that most people that purchased tickets are going, and are not scalpers. It also indicates a lot of interest in this band and the fact that they can sell out a 1000 seat venue. They are by far not "my" band, and if I never see them, it's no real loss, but it would be cool if they came to Coachella. On another note, I saw from your concert list that you are seeing Tool twice in March. I saw them last night in Portland (I live in the Seattle area, but they haven't booked here yet so I had to travel).

The act that closes Sahara does not "headline" it. Stop.
